The Shop
We are a local, licensed shop selling a range of items – from daily essentials to sweet treats and local gifts. We serve the travelling community and crucially the local community within and outside of the summer season.
The Bistro
Our renowned, freshly prepared food is available each and every day. Prepared using the freshest ingredients, and all hand prepared on site by our amazing team. Come and try our local fresh food. Takeaway is also available upon request.
The prawn and lobster that you will eat here daily is freshly caught by our very own Ruairidh, each and every day, from pristine, crystal clear Hebridean waters. A passionate fisherman, with a focus on quality, Ruairidh knows these waters like the back of his hand, having fished them since he was very young.
The People
Abi manages our shop and bistro, ensuring our customer needs are met throughout the year. Ruairidh, Abi’s husband, is our fisherman and provides the amazing fresh seafood that we offer to you.

Located on the Isle of Berneray, The Berneray Shop and Bistro is indeed a unique facility with nothing else like it on the island, or for some distance. Come along and be amazed by the friendly atmosphere and amazing food!
